Transforming Energy Management
TwinERGY incorporates Digital Twin intelligence to optimize demand response for residential buildings, positively impacting the well-being of consumers and their daily activities.
The Digital Twin technology involves creating a digital copy of a physical asset, process, or system. Connecting a physical asset with its Digital Twin enables testing new ideas or modeling scenarios in real time without interrupting the physical asset’s operations and users’ practices.
How the system works:
- Consumer Digital Twin: It predicts citizens’ consumption patterns and comfort preferences to develop a personalised strategy that allows them to achieve a more sustainable and affordable energy management.
- Building Digital Twin: Customised feedback for home energy management aiming to preserve human comfort and optimise energy usage
- Community Digital Twin: Created to analyse the impact on the grid and the well-being of the individual members within the community.
- A revolution in the energy ecosystem is possible. We raise awareness about consumption patterns and foster more sustainable energy behaviours, thus contributing to build a greener and inclusive energy market.

Through the development of a decentralized platform, TwinERGY connects microgrid operators with energy companies and consumers, enabling active participation in the market. This facilitates direct buying and selling of power between generators and end-users.
These transactions occur on trading platforms utilizing blockchain technology, decentralizing grid operations and improving the alignment of demand and generation.
